IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OVERDRAFTS AND OVERDRAFT FEES

Your checking account comes with standard overdraft practices. Beginning August 15, 2010, regulations will require banks to have a customer’s permission to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions. First State Bank wants you to be fully informed and prepared to make this decision about overdrafts and overdraft fees. Information regarding these changes is available.

FIRST STATE BANK is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. Negotiable order of withdrawal accounts (NOW Accounts) are
not guaranteed under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, however,
NOW Accounts will still receive the standard coverage under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
